Test Procedure

  1. TP1: CONTINUOUS MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0A44: CHECK FOR CORRECT TRACTION MOTOR RPM DURING THE ROAD TEST 
    NOTE: Refer to the table at the beginning of this pinpoint test for correct traction motor to vehicle speed correlations.
    • Clear the TCM DTCs.
    • Access the TCM and monitor the VSS and M_SPEED PIDs.
    • Road test the vehicle.
    • Record traction motor RPM at different vehicle speeds.
    • Does the traction motor RPM correspond with the vehicle speed?
