DTC P1260 (LF, L3) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P1260 Immobilizer system problem
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The instrument cluster detects an immobilizer system malfunction.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (Other).
  • The MIL does not illuminate.
  • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
  • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Immobilizer system malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
