SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE COOLING

Problem	Possible Cause	Action
Transaxle overheating	Clogged transaxle fluid cooler or tubes	INSPECT the transaxle cooler tubes for damage or plugging. INSTALL a new transaxle fluid cooler or tubes as necessary.
	System leaks	INSPECT the transaxle fluid cooler and tubes for leaks. REPAIR as necessary.
	Engine overheating	See PINPOINT TEST 3: THE ENGINE DOES NOT REACH NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE .
	Internal transaxle concerns	See DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
Coolant in the transaxle	Leak in the in-tank fluid cooler inside the radiator	INSTALL a new radiator. See RADIATOR .
Automatic transaxle fluid in the engine coolant	Leak in the in-tank fluid cooler inside the radiator	INSTALL a new radiator. See RADIATOR .
