Detection Condition

DTC is set when Short Term Fuel Trim (SHRTFT) or Long Term Fuel Trim (LONGFT) values exceed preprogrammed criteria while Drive Mode 1 (PCM Adaptive Memory) is running. See DRIVE MODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. This is a Continuous Monitor (CM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction condition in 2 consecutive drive cycles. Pending code is available if PCM detects malfunction condition during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC is stored in PCM memory.
