Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor (B2300 & Tribute 2.0L)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 10 other vehicles, including the 2002 Mazda Tribute, 2002 Mazda Protege5, 2002 Mazda Protege, 2002 Mazda Millenia, and 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
All models except the B2300 pick-up and Tribute 2.0L, use an Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
The Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor is a thermistor device which changes resistance proportionate to temperature changes. The CHT sensor inputs metal temperature of the cylinder head to the PCM. For CHT sensor location, see CHT & ECT SENSOR LOCATIONS table.
