Test 8: Cruise Control Off Switch Is Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect speed control actuator connector. While depressing OFF switch, use DVOM to measure resistance between speed control actuator harness terminals No. 5 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 6 (Dark Green/Orange wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace speed control actuator. See SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace speed control switches. See SPEED CONTROL SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
