WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Mazda B4000, 2001 Mazda B3000, 2001 Mazda B2500, and 2001 Mazda B2300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect PATS module harness connector (T245). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminal No. 2 (Red/Light Green wire) at PATS module harness connector and ground. See Figure . If 10 volts or greater exist at both terminals, go to next step. If 10 volts or greater does not exist at both terminals, go to step 3 .
- Remove fuse No. 19 (25-amp). Measure resistance between terminal No. 2 (Red/Light Green wire) at PATS module harness connector and circuit of CJB fuse 19 (25-amp). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repeat PATS diagnostic tests. Clear DTCs. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Red/Light Green wire between PATS module and circuit of CJB fuse 19 (25-amp). See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 (Black/White wire) at PATS module connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repeat PATS diagnostic tests. Clear DTCs. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Black/White wire between PATS module and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Clear DTCs. Test system for normal operation.
