Powertrain Control Module (Pcm)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Mazda B4000, 2001 Mazda B3000, 2001 Mazda B2500, and 2001 Mazda B2300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Passive anti-theft system uses PCM to enable or disable engine. When system is functioning properly and ignition switch is turned to RUN or START position, THEFT indicator light will turn on for 3 seconds, then turn off. Vehicle will be enabled to start and run. If there is a problem with PATS, THEFT indicator light will flash rapidly or glow constantly for more than 3 seconds when ignition switch is turned to RUN or START position.
