Test 8: Cruise Control Off Switch Is Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect cruise control actuator connector. While depressing OFF switch, use DVOM to measure resistance between cruise control actuator harness terminals No. 5 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 6 (Dark Green/Orange wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace cruise control actuator. See CRUISE CONTROL ACTUATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace cruise control switches. See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
