REPAIR PROCEDURE

When replacing one or-all of the torque convertor bolts, make sure the proper bolt and length are used. Using a bolt that is too long will damage the torque convertor by bottoming out and creating a high spot on the convertor clutch lock up face. This high spot will wear off all of the TCC clutch material in less than 40 km's which will result in the clutch material clogging the filter and cooler, and stopping the transmission operation.

The correct part number for the bolt is 3649-19 064A, and the maximum thread length is 10.3mm.
