Transmission Range (Tr) Sensor (A/T)

  1. Ensure TR sensor is properly aligned. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) Tool (49 T088 0A0) to data link connector 2 located under left side of dash. Turn ignition on. Using NSG tool, access TR and TR-M PIDs. Record value while moving gear selector through each gear range. See TRANSMISSION RANGE (TR) SENSOR VOLTAGE  table. If TR or TR-M PID value is not as specified, go to next step.
  2. Using DVOM and Transmission Tester (49 UN01 071), measure TR sensor resistance. Refer to operation manual for proper operation of transmission tester and resistance specifications.
