The cruise control operation on all 1990 models (except MPV) and 1989 RX7s has been changed. Please see the description of changes listed below
- The Cruise Main Switch has been changed to a momentary contact type. The switch must be activated manually, and will always be OFF after the key is cycled.
- The SET function cannot be activated until approximately 2 seconds after the Cruise Main Switch has been engaged.
- The RESUME function will not work if the vehicle speed falls below 25mph (40kph), even though the Cruise Main Switch remains ON.
- The cruise control system now has self-diagnosis capabilities. The ACC checker (49 9200 010) is no longer needed.
