System Inspection

Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Run engine at idle. Verify swirl control valve actuator rod is retracted into swirl control valve. See Fig 1 . Gradually increase engine speed and verify rod extends at speeds above 4000 RPM. If necessary, check following components.
