Disconnect idle switch and connect ohmmeter to terminals. See Figure. Start engine. Operate throttle lever until it is away from dashpot rod and keep lever in that position for 2-3 seconds. Release throttle lever and check that continuity exists between terminals after 1-2 seconds.
