System Operation: Lin

LIN is a serial digital communication channel and these circuits are a supplement to CAN bus circuits used by the BCM and BCMB to communicate with a lesser module by sending messages and updates on a single bus. The BCM acts as a primary and sends a messages to lesser modules, which may include up to 16 modules. The BCM serves as a gateway to the CAN bus.

LIN bus circuits are used with ultrasonic sensors to the IPMA. The battery management systems to the BCM for sleep and wake mode as well as state of health or diagnostics.
