Cruise Control Module (CCM): Removal

All vehicles 

1. NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
   NOTE: If installing a new CCM, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new CCM after installation.

   Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the CCM following the on-screen instructions.

2. Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover .

   Cruise Control Module (CCM) 

3. Separate the grommets from the CCM bracket studs and position out the CCM.

4. Disconnect the CCM electrical connector and remove the CCM.

5. Inspect the grommets for damage. Replace the CCM if necessary.

6. Separate the grommets from the CCM bracket studs and position out the CCM.

7. Disconnect the CCM electrical connector and remove the CCM.

8. Remove the CCM bracket bolts and the position out the CCM bracket assembly.

   Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

9. Detach the CCM wiring retainer and remove the CCM bracket assembly.
