Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM): Removal

NOTE: There are 2 fuel pump driver modules, the fuel pump driver module - lower is located in front of the left rear wheel well and above the air deflector. The fuel pump driver module - upper is located below the left rear seat backrest and can be accessed by going through the luggage compartment.

Fuel Pump Driver Module - Upper 

  1. Remove the cover.

  2. Remove the insulator.

  3. Disconnect the fuel pump driver module electrical connector.

  4. Remove the fuel pump driver module retaining nuts and then remove the fuel pump driver module.

    Fuel Pump Driver Module - Lower 

  5. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  6. Remove the right rear air deflector retainers, remove the pushpin and then remove the right rear air deflector.

  7. Disconnect the fuel pump driver module fuel pump driver module electrical connector.

  8. Remove the fuel pump driver module retaining nuts and then remove the fuel pump driver module.
