Global Positioning System Module (GPSM): Removal

  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
    NOTE: The PMI process must begin with the current GPSM installed. If the current GPSM does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Date as part of the repair.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the GPSM following the on-screen instructions.

  2. Remove the rear view mirror cover. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  3. Release the clips and remove the GPSM.

    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
