Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM): Removal

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.NOTE: The PMI process must begin with the current FCIM installed. If the current FCIM does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of the repair.
Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the FCIM following the on-screen instructions.
- Remove the instrument panel center upper trim panel. Refer to: Instrument Panel Center Upper Trim Panel .
- Release the clips, remove the bolts and the FCIM, media bin and center register assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque: 23 lb.in (2.6 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the bolts and the FCIM.
Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)
