CHECK the vehicle service history for recent service actions related to the TCU. If there have been recent service actions with the TCU, REPEAT/PERFORM the TCU PMI procedure as directed by the diagnostic scan tool. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation And Component Description . See PMI. If there have been no recent service actions, the TCU has failed to retain configuration data. INSTALL a new TCU. Refer to: Telematics Control Unit (TCU) Module . |

If DTC U3000:04 is retrieved again, DISCONNECT the battery for 1 minute, then reconnect it. CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). WAIT at least 10 seconds. REPEAT the self-test.
