Pinpoint Test F: DTC U0100: 00

F1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
  1. YES : GO to F2.
  2. No : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
F2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, carry out the network test.
- Does the PCM pass the network test?
  1. YES : GO to F3.
  2. No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
F3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE ABS MODULE AND PCM SELF-TESTS
- Check for recorded ABS and PCM DTCs from the network test.
- Is DTC U3003: 16 (or B1318) or DTC U3003: 17 (or B1317) recorded?
  1. YES : For the ABS module, REFER to DTC Chart .
    For the PCM, REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS .
  2. No : GO to F4.
F4 CHECK FOR DTCs U0100: 00 OR U0100 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test - All CMDTCs.
- Is DTC U0100: 00 or DTC U0100 set in more than one module?
  1. YES : INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS . TEST the system for normal operation. REPEAT the ABS module self-test.
  2. No : For vehicles without adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.
    For vehicles with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new HCU. REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
