Removal and Installation

  1. NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

    Upload the Global Positioning System Module (GPSM) configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on-screen instructions.

  2. Remove the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Refer to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
  3. Release the clip and remove the GPSM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Download the GPSM configuration information from the scan tool to the new GPSM following the scan tool on-screen instructions.
