Global Positioning System Module (GPSM)

For vehicles without navigation, the GPSM provides vehicle location for real-time traffic reports and re-routing, and for identifying vehicle location in the event of a collision.

For vehicles with navigation, the GPSM acts as the antenna for the navigation system.

The vehicle location information is broadcast to the APIM over the MS-CAN.
