When the ignition is turned to the RUN position, the ABS module and the PCM share Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) information over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN). Correct any network communication DTCs prior to diagnosing DTC U3002: 62

• DTC U3002: 62 (Vehicle Identification Number: Signal Compare Failure) - this DTC sets when the VIN message sent by the PCM over the HS-CAN does not match the VIN stored in the ABS module.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following: 

• Module configuration (ABS and PCM)
• ABS module
