Normal Operation

When the brake pedal is pressed, the Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch (also known as the stoplamp switch) routes voltage through circuit CLS17 (YE/GN) to the ABS module.

• DTC B1483 Brake Pedal Input Circuit Failure - The ABS module compares the BPP  switch input to the brake booster pedal force switch input and brake pressure input. If the BPP  switch input does not agree with the other 2 inputs, DTC B1483 will be set.

  This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following: 

• Wiring, terminals or connectors
• BPP  switch
• ABS module
