Symptom Chart

SYMPTOM REFERENCE

Condition Possible Sources Action
  • The auto-dimming mirror does not operate correctly
  • Obstructed rear-facing sensor.
    • Stickers, window decals, tags.
    • Non-OEM window tinting.
    • Fold-down video screen.
  • Obstructed forward-facing sensor.
    • Stickers, window decals tags.
    • Non-OEM window tinting.
  • Light source near or inside vehicle.
  • Vehicle inside garage or tunnel.
  • Fuse.
  • Auto-dimming interior mirror.
  • Circuitry.
  • If possible, remove the obstruction. If the obstruction cannot be removed, GO to PINPOINT TEST A  to TEST the auto-dimming mirror for correct function.
  • None. Any light source the rear-facing sensor is exposed to can be considered glare.
  • None. Ambient conditions are similar to night time conditions.
  • GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
  • The memory mirror is inoperative
  • Driver seat module (DSM).
  • Circuitry.
  • CJB fuse.
  • Battery junction box (BJB) fuse.
  • Exterior mirror motor.
  • Exterior mirror control switch.
  • The memory mirror is inoperative - does not operate from the memory set switch
  • Circuitry.
  • Driver seat module (DSM).
  • Exterior mirror motor.
  • Memory set switch.
  • The heated exterior mirror does not defrost
  • Circuitry.
  • Exterior rear view mirror.
  • CJB fuse.
