Symptom Chart: Notes

SYMPTOM CHART

Condition Possible Sources Action
The fog lamps are inoperative
  • Central junction box (CJB) fuse 18 (15A).
  • Circuitry.
  • Headlamp switch.
  • Fog lamp relay.
  • Flash-to-pass relay.
 Go To PINPOINT TEST P .
The individual fog lamp is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
 MEASURE the resistance between the inoperative fog lamp connector pin 2, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.
  • If the resistance is less than 5 ohms, REPAIR circuit 478 (TN/OG). TEST the system for normal operation.
  • If the resistance is not less than 5 ohms, REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
The fog lamps are on continuously
  • Circuitry.
  • Fog lamp relay.
  • Headlamp switch.
