Pinpoint Test I: The Set Speed Fluctuates

Test Step
I1 CHECK THE SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR CABLE AND THROTTLE LEVER
- Key in ON position.
- Check the throttle lever and speed control actuator cable for proper operation while carrying out the speed control actuator slack test on the diagnostic tool.
- Does the throttle lever operate correctly?

Yes
INSTALL a new speed control actuator. REFER to SPEED CONTROL SERVO . TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR and INSTALL a new speed control actuator as necessary. TEST the system for normal operation.
