Pinpoint Test A: No Communication With The Speed Control Actuator

Test Step

A1 CHECK CIRCUIT 296 (WH/VT) FOR AN OPEN

Key in OFF position.
Disconnect: Speed Control Actuator C122.
Key in ON position.
Measure the voltage between speed control actuator C122 pin 7, circuit 29 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

Result / Action to Take

Yes

GO to A2.

REPAIR the circuit. REPEAT the self-test.

Test Step

A2 CHECK CIRCUIT 676 (PK/OG) FOR AN OPEN

Key in OFF position.
Measure the resistance between speed control actuator C122 pin 10, circuit 676 (PK/OG), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Result / Action to Take

Yes

refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

REPAIR the circuit. REPEAT the self-test.
