Stability Assist Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index

NOTE: The need to re-calibrate the stability assist module is indicated by the active/fail lamp flashing. There are other service actions that may require recalibration where there is no flashing lamp. See STABILITY ASSIST MODULE CALIBRATION . The lamp will flash after the clearing of DTC's that are indicated on the stability assist calibration list.
NOTE: Stability assist may be referred to as interactive vehicle dynamics (IVD) in the NGS Tester.
NOTE: DTC C1730 (Reference Voltage Out Of Range) must be repaired before DTC C1279, C1280, C1281, C1282, C1288, C1289.

(1) If DTC C1288 and C1289 are present with a low or spongy brake pedal feel, manually bleed the hydraulic brake system to remove any air in the system. Once the brake pedal is firm, turn the ignition key to the run position, clear the DTCs and firmly apply and release the brake pedal. If the Advance Trac® lamp continues flashing, calibrate the system. Again firmly apply the brake pedal while observing the Advance Trac® warning lamp. If the condition does not return, test-drive the vehicle to verify the repair. Follow this procedure only if DTC C1288 and C1289 are present and the brake pedal has a low or spongy feel. Otherwise, refer to the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
