Doors Do Not Lock Or Unlock From Remote Transmitter

- Sit in vehicle. Operate locks from door switches. If lock system operates properly, go to next step. If lock system does not operate properly, go to ALL DOOR LOCKS INOPERATIVE .
- Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Within 5 seconds, press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. If doors unlock, go to next step. If doors do not unlock, go to step 8).
- Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. If doors do not lock, go to next step. If doors lock, go to step 5).
- Manually unlock all doors. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Within 5 seconds, press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. If passenger's door and driver's door respond in the same way, repair open in Pink/Black wire between DDM connector C519/C520, terminal No. 8 and door lock actuators. If passenger's door operates the opposite of driver's door, temporarily substitute known good DDM, then retest system.
- Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Within 5 seconds, press trunk release button on remote transmitter twice. If trunk unlocks, go to next step. If trunk does not unlock, go to step 9).
- Press PANIC button twice. If alarm sounds, go to next step. If alarm does not sound, go to step 9).
- Connect and operate NGS tester following manufacturer's instructions. Enter function test. Enter transmitter TIC/DATA. Press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. Request PID for last remote transmitter data. If display indicates unlock signal was received, temporarily substitute known good DDM, then retest system. If display indicates no unlock signal was received, program replacement transmitter to vehicle. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING.
- Connect and operate NGS tester following manufacturer's instructions. Enter transmitter TIC/DATA. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Request last remote transmitter data. If display indicates lock signal was received, temporarily substitute known good DDM, then retest system. If display indicates no lock was received, program replacement transmitter to vehicle. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING.
- Connect and operate NGS tester following manufacturer's instructions. Press ALARM button on remote transmitter. Retrieve last remote transmitter data. If display indicates alarm signal was received, go to ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article. If display indicates no alarm signal was received, program replacement transmitter to vehicle. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING.
