Pinpoint Test H - Switch Circuit Self-Diagnostics

  1. Diagnostic test provides capability to identify a short-to-ground condition for door lock cylinder switch, hood switch and trunk lid lock cylinder switch circuits. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Activate power door locks 5 times in 10 seconds. Watch alarm light and count flashes. Warning light will repeat every 10 seconds.
  2. If light flashes one time, all inputs are normal. If light flashes 2 times, door lock cylinder switch input is shorted. If light flashes 3 times, hood or trunk lid switch input is shorted. If light flashes 4 times, both door lock switches, hood switch and trunk lock switch inputs are shorted. Repair input circuits as necessary. Diagnostic mode will automatically cancel after 2 minutes or when ignition is turned from RUN to OFF position.
