Pinpoint Test E - Alarm Light Does Not Work

  1. Connect a jumper wire between ground and pin No. 15 at anti-theft control module connector. See Figure . If alarm light turns on, go to next step. If alarm light is off, check for open Dark Blue/Light Green wire between anti-theft control module and alarm light. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
  2. Using a voltmeter, check voltage at anti-theft control module pin No. 1. If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 9 volts, check fuse No. 6. If fuse No. 6 is okay, repair Orange wire between fuse panel and anti-theft control module. Retest system.
  3. Check voltage at anti-theft control module pin No. 4. If voltage is less than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 9 volts, check for short to power in Purple/Orange wire. Retest system.
  4. Open any door. Activate power door lock switch. If alarm light flashes then glows steadily, system is okay. If alarm light does not flash or glow steadily, replace anti-theft control module. Retest system.
