- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Using the GTS, check for DTCs.
Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2023 - ]
- Check that DTCs indicating a CAN communication system malfunction are not output.

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check that the TRAIL indicator illuminates and turns off in accordance with the operation of the TRAIL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRAIL MODE SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the D22 TRAIL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the J7 4WD ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the D22 TRAIL mode switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
