Installation [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM.
    2. Install the 2 screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM.
    2. Install the 2 screws.

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the ECM with the bolt and nut.

      Bolt 

      Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      Nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 lock levers.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
      • Be sure to securely connect the ECM connectors.

      *a Lock lever
    3. Install the engine wire to the ECM bracket with the 2 clamps and bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  4. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - ]

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 08/2021] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 - ]
