Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure
- REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.
*a Wire Harness Clamp *b Clamp *c Guide - Disengage the 2 clamps and 2 guides.
- Disengage the guide to disconnect the vacuum switching valve assembly.
*1 No. 2 Ventilation Hose *2 Hose Clip *3 Hose Clamp - Slide the hose clip to disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- Loosen the hose clamp to remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 8 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 3 bolts to separate the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to remove the throttle body with motor assembly.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
