Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  2. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly connector.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and cam timing control motor with EDU assembly from the No. 2 timing chain cover assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR O-RING 
    1. Remove the cam timing control motor O-ring from the No. 2 timing chain cover assembly.
