Climate Control Seat System does not Operate [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

    Result:

  2. CHECK CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT OPERATION 
    1. Check the climate control seat operation.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH - SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH) 
    1. Disconnect the e1 seatback climate control blower LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the c10 seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      e1-1 (VDD2) - c10-5 (VDD2) Always Below 1 Ω
      e1-1 (VDD2) or c10-5 (VDD2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      e1-3 (SC2) - c10-6 (SC2) Always Below 1 Ω
      e1-3 (SC2) or c10-6 (SC2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      e1-4 (GND2) - c10-4 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      e1-4 (GND2) or c10-4 (GND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG POWER SUPPLY - SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the c10 seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      c10-1 (VDD1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      c10-1 (VDD1) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V

      Standard Resistance

    1. Disconnect the J43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      c10-7 (SC1) - J43-24 (LOUT) Always Below 1 Ω
      c10-7 (SC1) or J43-24 (LOUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  9. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the J43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Reconnect the c10 seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH connector.

    3. Check the input signal waveform.

      Tool Setting 1 V/DIV., 1 ms/DIV.
      Vehicle Condition
      • Engine switch on (IG)
      • Refreshing seat switch (for front LH side) on

        (blower position)

      Waveform is similar to that shown in the illustration.

    1. Disconnect the d1 seatback climate control blower RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the b7 seat cushion climate control blower assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      b7-5 (VDD2) - d1-1 (VDD2) Always Below 1 Ω
      b7-5 (VDD2) or d1-1 (VDD2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      b7-6 (SC2) - d1-3 (SC2) Always Below 1 Ω
      b7-6 (SC2) or d1-3 (SC2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      d1-4 (GND2) - b7-4 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
