Inspection [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the float moves smoothly between F and E.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Float Level Specified Condition
      1 - 2 F 6.5 to 8.5 Ω
      Between F and E 6.5 to 199.4 Ω (Gradually changes)
      E 194.4 to 199.4 Ω
      1. If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel sender gauge assembly.
  2. INSPECT NO. 2 FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the float moves smoothly between F and E.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (No. 2 Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Float Level Specified Condition
      1 - 2 F 6.5 to 8.5 Ω
      Between F and E 6.5 to 216.1 Ω (Gradually changes)
      E 210.1 to 216.1 Ω
      1. If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 fuel sender gauge assembly.
