DTC C1459: Vertical Acceleration Sensor [11/2017 - 03/2019]: Procedure

1. Check that the roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) has been installed properly.

   Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 03/2019]

   OK

   The roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) is tightened to the specified torque.

   The roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) is not installed in a tilted position.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 03/2019] 

Result: 

OK

1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

2. Disconnect the E1 roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) connector.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   E1-4 (IGA) - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IGA CIRCUIT) 

Result: 

OK

1. Turn the engine switch off.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GNDA CIRCUIT)

1. Reconnect the E1 roll rate and vertical acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) connector.
2. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2017 - 03/2019]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

3. Turn the engine switch off.
4. Start the engine.
5. Perform a road test.
6. Check if the same DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2017 - 03/2019]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes
