INSPECT FRONT WIPER DEICER SWITCH

*a	Component without harness connected (Front Wiper Deicer Switch)

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
5 - 2	Front wiper deicer switch on	Below 1 Ω
5 - 2	Front wiper deicer switch off	10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.

Check that the indicator light illuminates.

*c	Component without harness connected (Front Wiper Deicer Switch)

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → 5 Battery negative (-) → 4	Front wiper deicer switch indicator illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.

Check that the illumination illuminates.

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → 6 Battery negative (-) → 1	Front wiper deicer switch illumination illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.
