Installation [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK 

    See step  15

  2. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the lumbar support adjuster assembly to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.
    3. Engage the clamp.

    4. Connect the connector to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.
    5. Install the clamp.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER 
    1. Install each double-sided tape to install the front seatback edge protector.

      *a w/ Climate Control Seat System
      Double-sided Tape
    2. Temporarily install the front seatback pad with cover.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front seatback pad with cover.

    3. Engage the 2 brackets and install the front seatback pad with cover with the 2 nuts.

      *a Bracket

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the front seatback pad with cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.
      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.
      • Install the brackets securely.
    4. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seatback climate control blower to the front seatback pad with cover.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Engage the clamp.

      2. Connect the connector.
    6. Close the 2 fasteners.

    7. Insert the 2 tabs.

    8. Insert the 2 fasteners.

    9. Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the front seatback pad with cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the front seatback pad with cover.

  5. INSTALL NO. 3 FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the No. 1 front seat shoulder belt guide.
