Reassembly [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP 
    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat wire RH.
  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat wire.
  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 6 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly to the front seat adjuster assembly.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      1. Engage the clamp.
  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH 
    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.
    2. Install the screw.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Engage the clip (B) to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
    3. Engage the clip (A).
  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Engage the clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
    3. Install the screw.
  9. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  10. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Install the seat cushion climate control bracket to the seat cushion climate control blower assembly with the 2 screws.

  11. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct to the seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER 
    1. Install each double-sided tape to install the front seat cushion edge protector.

      Double-sided Tape
    2. Temporarily install the front seat cushion pad with cover.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front seat cushion pad with cover.

    3. Engage the 9 hooks to install the front seat cushion pad with cover.

    4. Engage the hook.

    5. for Front Passenger Side:
      1. Engage the claw to install the connector.

    6. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the 3 clamps.
  13. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT SEAT WIRE 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the No. 2 front seat wire.
  14. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER EQUALIZING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the reclining adjuster equalizing cable assembly to install it.

    2. Engage the clamp (A) and install the clamp (B).

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (for Driver Side) 
    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.
  16. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the front seatback spring sub-assembly.
  17. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the front seatback spring sub-assembly to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.
    3. Install the clamp.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR 
    1. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seatback edge protectors to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  20. INSTALL LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the limit switch assembly.

    2. Install the screw.

  24. INSTALL LH SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Engage the guide to install the LH seat reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

    2. Install the screw.

    3. Connect the connector.
  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER 
    1. Install each double-sided tape to install the front seatback edge protector.

      *a w/ Climate Control Seat System
      Double-sided Tape
    2. Temporarily install the front seatback pad with cover.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front seatback pad with cover.

    3. Engage the 2 brackets and install the front seatback pad with cover with the 2 nuts.

      *a Bracket

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the front seatback pad with cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.
      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.
      • Install the brackets securely.
    4. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seatback climate control blower to the front seatback pad with cover.

    5. Close the 2 fasteners.

    6. Insert the 2 tabs.

    7. Insert the 2 fasteners.

    8. Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the front seatback pad with cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the front seatback pad with cover.

  29. INSTALL NO. 3 FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE 
    1. Install a new No. 3 front seat shoulder belt guide.

    1. Engage the 3 claws to install a new No. 1 front seat shoulder belt guide.

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the No. 1 front seat shoulder belt guide.

  32. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the reclining adjuster equalizing cable assembly to the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly.

  33. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CAP 
    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to install the reclining remote control cap.

  34. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, install the separate type front seatback assembly to the separate type front seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

    2. Install the clip.
