Disassembly [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    See step  2

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 hooks to disconnect each rubber band of the front seatback pad with cover.

  5. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Disengage the inner No. 1 front seat cushion shield from the clip as shown in the illustration.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Disengage the claw and 3 guides.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield.

    3. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    4. Disengage the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover.

    5. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the position control ECU and switch assembly.

        Disconnect the connector from the front lumbar power seat switch.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and 3 guides to remove the front seat inner cushion shield.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  10. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  11. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

    3. Disengage the clamp.
    4. Disengage the fastener and separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

    8. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly from the separate type front seat cushion assembly.

  15. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CAP 
    1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides to remove the reclining remote control cap.

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 front seat shoulder belt guide.

    1. Remove the 2 front seatback hooks from the lumbar support adjuster assembly.
  33. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Remove the 2 front seatback hooks from the front seatback spring sub-assembly.
  34. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER EQUALIZING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the clamp (B) and disengage the clamp (A).
