On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2014 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY NOTE:
Be sure to check functions after cleaning and replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.
- After installing the throttle body with motor assembly to the vehicle, turn the engine switch on (IG) without operating the accelerator pedal.NOTE:
If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.
- Connect the DLC3 to the Techstream and clear the DTCs.
Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2019 - ]
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Engine Speed.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Engine Speed - Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off.
Standard
Condition Engine Idle Speed A/C switched off 750 to 850 rpm NOTE:- Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
- Make sure that the shift lever is in P on N.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Throttle Sensor Position - Depress the accelerator pedal. When the throttle valve is fully opened, check that the value of "Throttle Sensor Position" is within the specification.
Standard throttle valve opening percentage
60% or more
- Perform a drive test, and check for any abnormal feeling in the engine speed.
- After installing the throttle body with motor assembly to the vehicle, turn the engine switch on (IG) without operating the accelerator pedal.
