On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2017 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Put the engine in inspection mode (2WD for measuring exhaust gas).
- Start the engine.
- Inspect the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly (for intake side).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 / Data List / Intake VVT Change Angle Bank 1.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Active Test Display Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 Data List Display Intake VVT Change Angle Bank 1 - Read the Data List while performing the Active Test with the engine idling.

Techstream Operation Data List (VVT Change Angle #1) -100% to 100% Varies by 55 DegFR or more If the result is not as specified, check the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly, wire harness and ECM.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Intake VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 / Data List / Intake VVT Change Angle Bank 1.
- Inspect the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly (for exhaust side).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 / Data List / Exhaust VVT Change Angle Bank 1.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Active Test Display Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 Data List Display Exhaust VVT Change Angle Bank 1 - Read the Data List while performing the Active Test with the engine idling.
