On-Vehicle Inspection [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure
- INSPECT CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY LH
- Warm up the engine.
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 2.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Tester Display Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 2 - According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test and check the engine speed while operating the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH.
Standard Condition
Techstream Operation Engine Condition 0% Normal engine speed 100% Engine idles roughly or stalls HINT:
- Refer to "Data List / Active Test" [Exhaust VVT Hold Learn Value Bank 2, Exhaust VVT Change Angle Bank 2, Exhaust VVT OCV Control Duty Ratio Bank 2 and Exhaust VVT Target Angle Bank 2].
Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2019 - 10/2020]
- Test not possible with the shift lever in P during charge control. Move the shift lever to N to perform test.
- If the DTCs are stored after the Active Test, clear the DTCs.
If the result is not as specified, check the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH, wire harness and ECM.
