- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - ]
- REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY RH (for Intake Side of Bank 1)
- Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH from the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly.NOTE:
If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the O-ring from the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH.NOTE:
- When removing the O-ring, be careful not to damage the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH.
- If the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH is damaged, replace the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH with a new one.
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the O-ring is necessary.
- Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH connector.
- REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY RH (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1)
- Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH from the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly.NOTE:
If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the O-ring from the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH.NOTE:
- When removing the O-ring, be careful not to damage the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH.
- If the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH is damaged, replace the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH with a new one.
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the O-ring is necessary.
- Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly RH connector.
