Installation [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.
   NOTE:

   When reusing the PCV valve sub-assembly, inspect the O-ring.

2. Using a ball joint lock nut wrench (22 mm), install the PCV valve sub-assembly to the No. 1 PCV case.

   Torque

   Specified tightening torque 

   5.0 N.m (51 kgf/cm, 44 in.lbf)

   HINT: 

   • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

     Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2023 - ]

   • When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 185 mm (7.28 in.)): 2.8 N.m (29 kgf/cm, 25 in.lbf)

1. Connect the PCV hose to the PCV valve sub-assembly, and slide the clip to secure hose.
