Registration [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INITIALIZATION OF SEAT ECU 
    NOTE:

    Initializing the position control ECU assembly will clear the seat position memory.

    HINT: 

    • Initialization is not necessary for the pneumatic support function.
    • Make sure to initialize the position control ECU assembly after replacing the seat assembly or any related parts (including removal and installation).
    • Before initializing the seat ECU, make sure that the D/C CUT fuse is normal.
    • When any of the following conditions are met, the seat position Information in the seat ECU will be cleared.
      • The engine switch is turned off with any of the seat switches being operated and the D/C CUT fuse removed.
      • The engine switch is turned off within 1 second of any of the seat switches being operated with the D/C CUT fuse removed.
    1. Reset the ECU:
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Operate the reclining switch forward 3 times.
      3. Simultaneously operate the headrest switch forward and downward, and hold the switches in operation until the buzzer sounds.
    2. Set the ECU 0 value:
      1. Operate the reclining switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (front). Hold the reclining switch (front) in that position for 1 second.
      2. Operate the reclining switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (rear). Hold the reclining switch (rear) in that position for 1 second.
      3. Operate the ottoman switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (rear). Hold the ottoman switch (rear) in that position for 1 second (w/ Ottoman).
      4. Operate the headrest switch and move the headrest to its operating limit position (down). Hold the headrest switch (down) in that position for 1 second (w/ Ottoman).

        HINT: 

        Operate the ottoman switch (rear) and ottman switch (down) in turn.

      5. Operate the headrest switch and move the headrest to its operating limit position (down). Hold the headrest switch (down) in that position for 1 second.

        HINT: 

        Operate the ottoman switch (rear) and ottoman switch (down) in turn.

      6. Operate the headrest switch and move the headrest to its operating limit position (rear). Hold the headrest switch (rear) in that position for 1 second.
    3. ECU initialization complete confirmation:
      1. Operate the reclining switch (front) for 1 second or more and check that the buzzer does not sound.
        NOTE:

        If position control ECU assembly (for Rear Seat) initialization completes normally but the buzzer sounds, perform position control ECU assembly (for Front Seat) initialization.
